The biggest changes seen in the D3400 are in battery life (which we suspect is due to the less powerful flash), weight and the new built in Bluetooth LE that works with SnapBridge to enable photo sharing. Nice one there. The only thing I don't agree with DPR's review is with the external controls. These are definitely two other options to also consider looking at before making a purchase. We didn't forget to mention it- it's a fantastic feature but we didn't focus too heavily on that camera because it's quite a bit more expensive.
